Our mission

“To promote and increase the visibility of LGBTQI+ history via events, resources and activities for educational institutions, professionals and the wider community.”

 

Our objectives are:

• To increase the visibility of the lives and communities of LGBTQI+ people and our histories;

• To raise awareness amongst schools and educational institutions about LGBTQI+ history;

• To research, explore and capture the historical lives of LGBTQI+ individuals and their communities;

• To recognise the valuable contributions made by LGBTQI+ individuals, groups, communities and cultures to our wider society;

• To capture LGBTQI+ present lives for future LGBTQI+ communities as part of #OurHistory project.
